BioGov.net partner Loba is organizing the first Portuguese workshop entitled “The potential of the Bioeconomy in Education and and Sustainable Development” , on Wednesday, 21st of June.
This workshop counts with the collaboration of the Collaborative Laboratory for the Blue Bioeconomy (B2E CoLAB), and aims to initiate the “Community of Practice” in Portugal, focused on education and lifelong learning in the area of the Bioeconomy, with a special focus on innovative formats of the intersection between the Bioeconomy and other areas such as art and culture.
This workshop intends to serve as a lever for discussion about sustainability and possible solutions to ecological and social challenges, including climate change climate change mitigation, cleaner production processes, economic growth and growth and new job opportunities.
The objectives of this event are to:
- Stimulate the discussion on (life-long) education of the bioeconomy in Portugal with emphasis on the northern region;
- Identify regional needs and priorities;
- Share good practices and case studies (regional) identified by the project;
The event will be held in Portuguese and the participation is free of charge.
