On Wednesday, 20 November 2024, the European Commission’s DG Research & Innovation will host an in-person workshop in Brussels titled “Bioeconomy Education to Enable the Transition to a Competitive, Regenerative, and Fair (Bio)economy: Building the Next Union of Skills in the Bioeconomy.” This event will gather bioeconomy education experts to discuss specific future policy needs in bioeconomy education, which will be considered in the upcoming update of the European Bioeconomy Strategy.

Our partners Susanna Albertini and Selenia Marinelli from FVA – New Media Research are invited among the high-level speakers and will present key insights from the recent European policy workshop “What’s Next for Bioeconomy Education? VET and Life-long Learning Perspectives” organized by the BioGov.net project on 29 October. This workshop saw the active engagement of 60 participants representing 34 EU projects and initiatives, all contributing to the co-creation of educational and policy recommendations aimed at advancing bioeconomy education across Europe.
